Red Hill Bed and Breakfast
At least once a week we stay at a B&B to have a good scrub, sleep and recoup. Sometimes we stay in more, and there have been some pretty good ones along the road. By far the best deal so far has been the Red Hill Bed and Breakfast. Geoff and Di have been running the RHB&B for two years, and it is beautiful. If you are ever up in the Daintree we would recommend you stay there over all of the resorty lodges.
The balcony where Geoff serves a full breakfast in the morning is such a relaxing place to be.
Queensland Yacht Charters
As you all know by now, we are sailing around the Whitsundays from January 12th-19th. These people were so helpful to us that we chose to sail with them out of all the thousands of yacht charter firms up north.
We chose a Beneteau 41 (41 foot 6-bed yacht) for our trip, filled in the forms and paid the deposit.
Kellie Edwards at Queensland Yacht Charters read the forms and realised that we were three couples going up there (Trish and Alan, Mum and Dad, and Neil and I), rather than six singles. She rang us up and said the boat we had chosen had two double bed cabins and two single beds in the middle. She asked if would like to upgrade to a bigger boat with three separate cabins for no extra cost.
This was on top of already having two extra nights free on the boat even in the middle of school holidays.
