Wind up torches and radios

At one of the many camping expos we went to this year, a mob called Carlee Pty Ltd were selling wind-up radios and torches. They were originally built for developing countries where the distribution of batteries is difficult, to give locals access to the media that they otherwise wouldn't have. They look very much like Macs - all colourful and translucent-like. Except they have a giant handle on the side. I wanted to get one but Neil, the big meany-pasty, thought it was not necessary. Geez. They were also $200 each. Nyoh.
