nimbin
Nimbin was a hot, stinky little town full of wasted potheads. It is not all that close to Byron, but you have to go up and down these huge hills where there is no road at about 20k an hour with the sir con turned off to give you enough power to get up the next hill. So when we got there the first thing we did was go to the pub. After we were sufficiently cooled down we walked outside and were accosted by people who asked two questions: 'Are you a cop?' (and if it turned out that we weren't cops, or clever cops who perhaps would just say 'no') - 'Up for some gunja?'. Which I normally wouldn't have problem with but they were so smelly I wanted them to give me a wide berth.
