National Film and Sound Archive
Well, there's a National Sound and Film Archive, and National Film Archive and we went to the little one because it was on the way to a lot of other stuff. But it had some great momentos in it. There were letters written to the Prime Minister complaining about the treatment of the Petrovs' dog, conscription for Vietnam, literacy standards in the thirties and suffragettes' voices.

"Unity of race is an absolute essential to the unity of Australia...After all, when the period of confused local policies and temporary political divisions was swept aside, it was this real unity that made Australia possible." - Alfred Deakin, 1901.
"It is vital that we should learn greater tolerance and learn to lend a helping hand to strangers in our midst, to regard any immigrant as a fellow Australian and a national asset who will raise, not lower, the national income once he is established." Who is going to share Australia? Department of Post-War Reconstruction, 1943.
