wangaratta

footbridge in Wangaratta

I spoke my first word when Mum and Dad were doing a similar trip through Australia. No one-syllable words for me - my first word was 'Wangaratta', which abruptly ended the competition between my parents to see whether I would say "mum" or "dad" as my first word.

So, yes Dad, I get the irony (and believe me, I'm way beyond it) that on the first day of our trip (after, mind you, having K-mart do a major service of the car in preparation) that we blew a head gasket outside of Wangaratta and are now stuck here for four days.

Wangaratta is Back to the Future meets the CWA. I'm not saying that Wangaratta has a ... casual ... way of life, but they do have a five-step plan in the toilets on how to wash your hands (see photo).

RACV "...Blew a gasket, hit a dead cat, everythiiing is going fine..."
Graham, the man who owns the RACV garage in Wangaratta, with Rusty, who is feeling a bit poorly but is very glad he hasn't got a bent head. As anyone would be really. Unless they were in Nimbin. RACV
beer is the solution Neil trying very hard to keep up with the fast pace of life in Wangi (that's local speak for 'Wangaratta').
